It’s A Wreck

There’s a sewing machine and a pedal that plugs into it sitting on the kitchen table. It only took 40 minutes, and now the closet is totally wrecked. But … everything is back in it and the doors are closed. I actually am not blaming myself too much for the current wrecked state of the closet, because as soon as I opened the doors I could see that Myu has been exploring broadly in there. Oh … my … god.
If she could pull it out, she did. If she could make a jumbled mess of it, she did. If she could knock it off a shelf or pull it off a hanger, she did. And there are game pieces everywhere. Everywhere. I just quickly pulled out the stuff I needed to in order to get to my sewing machines, grabbed the pedal, matched it to a machine, and stuffed it all back in and closed the doors. If I had looked at it or thought about it to much longer, I would have wanted to strangle the cat.
Luckily, the pedal matched my White machine. I don’t think there was anything wrong with that one. I would, of course, much prefer to sew on my fancy expensive machine with a hundred different stitches, but my basic old White will do. At least it isn’t the Singer. I hate my Singer machine with a passion.
And don’t ask how many sewing machines I have. I will not tell you. It’s embarrassing. No one needs that many sewing machines, not even someone who does a lot of sewing. I bought the really nice Necchi machine to allow myself to get rid of all the others, and then I never got rid of the others. As soon as I find the pedal for the Necchi, I will be getting rid of the others. Boy, that would give me a lot of extra room in that closet!
Anyway, I have to go chopped the veggies to add to the stew, and then I suppose I will plug in the machine and see what happens. Keep your fingers crossed it works without too much fussing. I do not feel like having to take apart and service a machine. I just want to SEW!!!
