Need Dirt

Sitting on the porch, listening to the morning arrive and staring at my silly little garden, I have decided to make some changes in the lives of my plants. The three pepper plants that are currently living in the Earthboxes are going to be transplanted into the front flowerbed. Those three plants look totally pathetic, and none of them is really doing much of anything. I would rather the available resources in the boxes go to things that have some hope of surviving and producing edibles. Therefore, the cucumbers will have an entire Earthbox to themselves, and Mr. Stripy will be getting a new box-mate, most likely the not-yet-producing but nicer-looking of the two Better Boy tomato plants.

All I need to locate in order to get this done this morning while it’s nice and cool is one five gallon bucket of dirt that won’t require me digging any up. I’m not feeling quit that ambitious today, and I have other things, like artwork, I want to work on too. Surely, somewhere on our property, we have just a little more easily accessible and usable dirt.
