Tiny Things

Remember after I finished knitting those socks on size 2 needles I said I was never going to knit with that size again and never, ever knit with anything smaller? Never say never. Boss’s Wife had her baby a month early, and I am finding myself with the urge to knit the little thing some tiny little things. That’s going to mean using at least size 1 needles. That also means I have to go to the craft store to buy some.
Yeah … the needle buying never ends. Maybe I should just go ahead and get the size 0 and 00 while I am there. I think those three sizes are the only ones I don’t have. Then, maybe THEN, I won’t ever have to buy any more needles again!
The good news about knitting tiny little things for tiny little babies is the projects are going to finish up fast. I hope. We’ll see how I do with such small needles and stitches.
My sleep schedule is still all sorts of messed up. I did not make it very long yesterday with my plan to stay awake all day and drop from fatigue after dinner. In fact, I didn’t even make it an hour after I said I was going to stay awake all day. I’m not going to say that today, but I am going to try to keep myself with a full cup of coffee and things to do, so maybe I can make it until afternoon and take a short nap. I have to be on a day schedule this weekend. Too many things to do … including a planned date with my husband to go out for ice cream sundaes and coffee. Yippee! A date! Not that he knows about it yet. I’ve learned it works best if I just spring such things on him at last minute.
Now I am off to go do my hour in the Box Room, and then hopefully I will still be wired enough to run to the craft store for tiny needles and tiny yarn. I also want to stop at the drugstore and get some female beautification products. I’ve decided to stop being a hippie this summer. Not forever, mind you. Just for a few months … or as long as I can stand to keep up all the work being a proper American female requires. ![]()
Well, the Box Room is calling. Not looking forward to it, but I swore I’d do an hour every day, and dammit, I am going to stick with that!
