Poor Dears

Myu and Ronin, who snubbed me heartlessly when I got home yesterday, decided at some ridiculously late hour of the night they did, in fact, love me to pieces. Therefore, I had a small black cat patting me on the face, a large grey cat squashing the air out of me, and both of them sucking on the sheets for several hours non-stop last night. Some of you may recall how thrilled I was an end to the sheet sucking had been brought about by getting new sheets that looked nothing like the sheets they knew as kittens. It would seem my disappearance from the household for a mere 36 hours pushed a few buttons with the cats. Well, it is the first time I have been gone for more than a few hours since they moved in. Poor dears.
For all the adoration the little monsters have been showing me since whatever pre-dawn hour it was they decided to forgive me for being away, they sure did act like they didn’t even know who I was when I got home. When I walked in the door, they were both sitting right there with gleeful looks of anticipation on their faces, but as soon as I moved to pet them, they scattered and wanted nothing to do with me. Cats are such emotional little things. ![]()
It’s nice to be getting some kitty love, but I could do without the sheet sucking. I had forgotten just how annoying it is to listen to two cats smacking and slobbering … and having damp sheet hems. Yuckity yuck yuck!
