In A Mood
April 4th, 2008 - 12:41 am
I have been in a mood all day. I couldn’t tell you what mood, because it changes every few minutes, but I can say that all the moods experienced would be of the negative variety. I can’t blame it on hormone levels, though I do think the weather has played some role. There have only been a few random moments of sunshine sprinkled here and there throughout the week. I really just can’t stand it when there isn’t any sun for extended periods of time. It’s not raining or storming either, which at least I do enjoy. No. It’s just been grey and blah for days now. Yuck.
But anyway … I have been in a mood all day, which is why I have been keeping my mouth shut all day. It seemed like the best course of action, considering I haven’t had anything good to say about anything.
Bottom line is I am really angry at someone. A friend. It’s that sort of anger that makes me want to shake them by the shoulders and scream “Stop it! You’re so stupid!” That approach never really helps anything, but all the same, I am really angry at someone. Though I can’t tell you what it is I am angry at them about, because that would give away who it is I am angry at, and they do have an on line existence (and read my web site), I will say it is a subject that pushes several of my personal tender spots and big red buttons. I’ll either eventually have to get it off my chest to them, or I will just have to try to avoid said subject as long as possible. Neither option is 100% satisfactory, because, of course, the situation is complex. Aren’t they always?
Tomorrow’s weather is supposed to be especially nasty, but Saturday they say will be sunny. I certainly hope so. Maybe if my mood wasn’t being artificially depressed by the stupid, stupid hot, humid and grey weather, I might be able to figure out a way to deal with being angry with a friend.
I think I’ll go watch a Godzilla movie.
Don’t even bother trying to guess if it is you I am talking about being angry at. It might be. It might not be. I’m not telling yet.

I like it when you get in a mood. lol
Although this has nothing to do with improving your mood, actually it might make it worse but I hope not, explain to me how in the great state of Texas do the car insurance companies arrive at what you pay for your car insurance? No this is not a trick question, although it might be a gotcha question.
Best I can tell, it’s all based on how much other people’s cars cost to replace, but it seems like they take the median income of your average Texan, divide by 12 and charge 15% of the final sum. That’s the way it feels anyway. Or maybe the legislature just pulls numbers out of its butt. Or maybe it depends on how many skiing trips the insurance lobby sends our elected officials on. Doesn’t really matter, the insurance companies have been drooling to raise their rates for a while, and now they have their excuse. We haven’t heard how much ours will be going up. I’m sure it’s not going to make me happy.
Car insurance is usually based on the following: Type of car, make model, horsepower, area in which the car will be stored, who will be driving the car, their percentage of time behind the wheel, and of course their driving history. I said this was a gotcha question, and it is. Read along. OK, now that 2 sane people, you and I, have cleared that issue up, please explain to me how your guy, Obama, is going make it safer for us, the law obeying sector, by allowing illegal immigrants to obtain a drivers license? Based on which one of the above criteria would the insurance company most want to review before issuing an insurance policy? I would think the type of car and a drivers history. Well we can come up with a car, but where is a drivers history going to emerge from? Something else to consider, since drivers licenses are issued by the states, and not the federal government, and since driving is a privilege and not a right, how does Obama pull this off without violating states rights? Or is he seriously considering issuing all illegal immigrants some sort of national drivers license with insurance. Wonder what that would cost? Now as crazy as that sounds, remember he is on record stating he wants to give every college student $4,000.00 a year, every year they stay in college. There are 7.1 million full time college students in the US. I’m sure there would have to be some sort of qualifiers, like grades, attendance, community service, but they are never talked about. Just asking for to much details I guess.
