Stupid Electricity

Myu is being a total love bug this morning! She keeps crawling all over me and won’t leave me alone. I love it!
I was merrily puttering away working on a new banner for my web site, when the electricity flickered. My computer restarted, I got back to work, and it did it again. This is probably a sign from the universe to take a break from the computer for a while. It’s also a sign that whatever it is on our block that causes the electricity to freak out for no reason has not been fixed. I have been sitting here for some hours, and I do need to go to my bank today, so screw the screwy electricity. I’m turning my computer off. Might as well get the bank trip out of the way now, and then I should spend some time letting Myu love me to pieces. It’s so rare when she is this open about being affectionate, and I want to promote the idea that cats should always want to be in laps.
I’m feeling the urge to do some more work on that canvas. I needed some copper wire, and being as it is rather expensive at the moment, I didn’t want to buy any. This morning I noticed some jumper cables, still in their packaging, out in the laundry room. They are really cheap ones. I have no idea where I got them. Likely one of my well-meaning relatives gave them to me back when I was driving the Dart all the time and needed such things somewhat regularly. They are really too wimpy to use on the truck (and the Dart as well), unless you want to sit there forever waiting for the battery to get some juice, so I think I will be tearing them apart for the wire inside. It looks to me like it’s a bundle of thin wires of about the thickness I wanted anyway, so I think I will have way more wire than I need for what I want to do. Cool!
The weather can’t seem to decide what it wants to do today. The sun keeps trying to come out, but then it gets cloudy and dark again. I was trying to wait until it got sunny to run to the bank, but I’m tired of waiting. With my luck, it’ll start raining soon. I think I’ll go get that last errand run and be done with it. Then I can declare the weekend already here and be a lazy bum for the next few days. Well, not really, I do still have to feed us and do laundry and I want to plant my Earthboxes this weekend, but lazier than usual anyway. ![]()
