Hope everyone is having a happy whatever-spring-holiday-you-celebrate!

There have only been two differences between today and a normal Sunday at Casa de Orb: I’m doing the laundry well before midnight, and I have spent much of the day on the phone with friends and family. I imagine the rest of the day will continue is the usual lazy Sunday way, except that dinner is already made (leftover beans and sausage from last night) and I won’t be up all night doing the laundry. I’m so proud of myself for remembering to get the laundry started while the sun is still shining!

Tomorrow I will be going to Home Depot to get the plants/seeds for my Earthboxes. Lin went today to look for some tool he needs, but I wasn’t dressed yet, and he didn’t feel like waiting. He said I could just go by myself to amble around the garden center. To me, that sounds like permission to go and buy whatever I need, and so I shall. I don’t need anything more than the plants/seeds and maybe some fertilizer. I already have the boxes, and they are already filled with some great rich dirt. I can’t wait to get them going! Hopefully I’ll get loads of tomatoes and beans and peppers. If it goes well this year, maybe I can convince Lin we need to invest in some more boxes next year.

Nothing else much to report today. Oh, expect that Mom says that Helen said that Haley said they would be finishing the driveway/plumbing problem in May. Wow, only six months after they started it for a job that would have taken any normal group of workers an afternoon start-to-finish.

I believe I shall go eat a donut and watch some TV with Lin. Or … perhaps a nap. Naps are nice!
