I watched X-Men: The Last Stand for the Nth time. I don’t have the DVD, so I catch it whenever it’s on one of the movie channels, record it, and watch it a few times until I get sick of it again. Well, not that I ever get sick of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. :)
Anyway, I have been grumbling about the movie since the first time I saw it, because Charles Xavier dies, and that didn’t seem to fit with the X-Men universe I know. Well, this time, the movie channel played all the way through the credits, and guess what? There’s a bit more to the story after the credits are done. I will not stop griping about Charles’ seeming death.
And does anyone know if they are still planning to do the Wolverine movie? I just know I am going to love that one. Wolverine is another one of those fictional characters I am totally in love with. :sweety:
Time to go make pizza! We haven’t watched Stargate Atlantis or Torchwood yet, and I am beginning to have Ronon and Capt. Jack withdrawals. :D
Wolverine solo outing is a go:

I think Marvel’s doing a Magneto one also.
I’m such an X-men geek! I liked all the movies, even though they felt like watered down versions of the comics!
And Charles Xavier has died…oh…about 3 times in comic book land. Jean Grey? About the same, I think.
Ask me anything, I am the X-Men Guru! Lol. :flower:
Xmen Origins: Wolverine is slated for a 1 May 2009 release. Taylor Kitsch is playing Gambit (he’s in the movie “The Covenant”-cheesy but a good escapist movie). Liev Schreiber is also in it as Sabretooth, I think and Ryan Reynolds. If you want another good escapist movie-try to catch the flick “Smoking Aces”.(Ryan Reynolds is in it as an FBI agent) I warn you now, the best actor in the entire film is the 50 cal sniper rifle.
Wheeeee! I might even have to go to a theater to see it!
I wasn’t all that taken with the first X-men movie. I’d read the comics as a kid, and I didn’t think they’d do it right, but the movies have been pretty good, and Hugh Jackman is now Wolverine in my mind. I think he’s done a great job of playing him. A Magneto movie would be cool too. He’s a fascinating character. I would like them to continue the Phoenix storyline in a new X-men movie too. Now that storyline was something else!
I’ll have to check out Smoking Aces, Donna. You are the third person to suggest it to me, and I do love me some shoot-em-up bang-bang escapism from time to time. :)
