I’ve been a busy little worker bee in the kitchen since this afternoon. So far I have made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, beans, sausage chili with said beans, there’s cornbread in the oven right now, and shortly I will be starting the rice to go with the chili. Then I have to convince Lin to take a break from his game to eat and watch another episode of Torchwood.

In other household news: I love my cats. Oh sure, they are still the destructive and annoying little brats they always have been, but both of them have learned to occasionally enjoy lap-sitting and have become far more affectionate than they have been previously. In fact, Ronin is sometimes a seriously huge pest about rubbing on legs and feet, and Myu has become even more vocally demanding when she wants attention. Shouldn’t complain, right? I am getting what I asked for! Now if only they would leave the bedroom closet alone and stop destroying things.

Back to the kitchen with me! I’m getting so hungry. The chili smells divine!
