If you care at all about my constant concerns about what to wear to social events, behind the cut is a photo montage of the three finalists for tomorrow night’s party.

The black dress is one I designed and made myself. Fits like a glove, especially since I am slightly larger than I was 12 years ago when I made it. It’s also the Boobie Dress. The built-in under-wires do wonders for the cleavage, but it also means that most men won’t notice I have a face when talking to me.
The long golden knit one used to be one of my favorites, but … walking, dancing, driving, and anything requiring the use of my legs is a major hassle. Looks great, but I am concerned about the sleevelessness of it. Also, I have worn it ten thousand times, and maybe I am getting tired of it after all these years. Lin still loves it though.
The red velvet one is very designer, was very expensive, and I have never worn it anywhere. It’s been hanging in my closet for ten years, but until now, it didn’t really fit. I always meant to have it altered to fit better, but I guess I was holding onto it in case I ever needed a slightly larger dress. I am leaning toward this one, but maybe it’s too conservative (or not even attractive on me)?
There you have it. Chances are still high that I will have a last minute panic attack and wear my green silk bias-cut dress, the one I always wear when I have a last minute panic attack about what to wear. It’s always good to have one thing you know looks good on you, fits well, and can be dressed up or down. When that dress wears out, I am going to have to take it apart and make a pattern of it and make a new one exactly like it. I call it my Dependable Dress.
But still, I’d like to wear something different for once. Any input greatly appreciated! I’d like to decide tonight, because I may need to buy some new shoes (and potentially an actual bra). :)
