After I made Lin’s coffee this morning, I crawled right back into bed and slept until noon. I wish I had gotten off my butt and gone to get my mom’s birthday present and one of the things I need for a Secret Santa gift yesterday, because the weather today is downright awful. It’s not especially cold, but wet, wet, wet and dark, dark, dark. But I didn’t, so I had to go do it today. Well, there’s two things I can mark off my list at least. Not that I am done with the Secret Santa thing yet, but I got the one thing I really wanted to get, and I got it on sale. In fact, I got everything I needed to buy for bargain basement prices. I do love a good bargain!
Still not feeling ship shape. My stomach is just wrong today. It definitely feels like some sort of bug, but it doesn’t seem to be too bad. Let’s hope it stays that way, or, if it has to get awful, let it get awful tonight and tomorrow and be done with it. I have far too much to do next week to be sick.
I’ve decided to go buy something new to wear to the big Xmas party next week. I don’t know what, but something along the lines of a nice dress and some new dressy shoes. I haven’t bought any new nice dressy stuff in ten years, so maybe it’s time, right? I think I’ll go get my hair cut too. Nothing drastic on the hair. Even though I am getting sort of sick of having long hair, I don’t really want to get it cut short again during the winter. Long hair is nice on the neck and over the ears when the wind is gusting coldly. :D
Speaking of hair, I have to go take a shower and wash mine right now. I got rained on, and this new leave-in conditioner I have been using is great, until it gets rained on. Then it makes my hair look and feel as though it hasn’t been washed in a month. Just gross! After that, I am going to play a video game for a while, start the stew for dinner, and get to work on that Secret Santa present. I need to have the “making” part done by Monday so I can go do the last of the buying part, and then hopefully get it in the mail as well. It’ll only be going out two days late. Ugh. I am always behind on everything!
