Ms. Productivity

I am amazing. I am like Wonder Woman and Supergirl all rolled into one. I should be crowned Ms. Productivity 2007!

OK, not really. The only thing I actually finished today was doing the dishes, but providing there are no disasters, natural or otherwise, in about an hour I will have also managed to make dinner. Go me, right?

This week has been a loss. Both the weather and my hormone levels were equally erratic, and that’s just the perfect recipe for me not getting any damn thing done at all. I tried. I really tried. You can only do what you can do, and there comes a point where fighting it doesn’t do anyone any good. In other words, I am easier to tolerate during weeks like this one if I stick to taking naps with the cats and playing with my cell phone and web site.

Oh, and complaining about not getting any phone calls produced the expected result: too many phone calls. My mom is trying to use up her prepaid cell phone minutes, and I swear she wants to use all 18 hours talking to me … in one day. At least I know the ring tone I have set for her works. It’s hilarious. Lewis Black, my favorite comedian, ranting about how my mom is calling. I need to make an audio post so I can play it for you. You also need to hear the one I recorded myself for my friends’ group. It’s me ranting, much like Mr. Black, about how the phone is ringing and to pick it up already.

I also got my first photo message today from Lin. He snapped a great photo of himself, and since he would kill me if he saw it ending up on the front page of my web site, I can’t resist posting it anyway … behind the cut.

There’s also some other news about The Man behind the cut too!

The Man

See, in bright light, the camera phone does take great photos. Unfortunately, I am rarely out in bright light. I melt, you know.

Now for the news of the day! Lin had his first review at work today, and he got a good one, of course. Not perfect, so you know he isn’t happy, but good enough that it resulted in a rather nice raise (really, rather nice) and also a rather nice bonus (really, really rather nice)! Woo hoo! My man is so awesome (sometimes).
