I got tired of waiting for Lin to get home tonight, so I went and laid down on the bed, immediately beginning to drift off into blissful sleep, when the phone rang with it’s distinctive and obnoxious ringtone indicating a call from my mother. I cursed, braced myself for the worst, and answered the call.

Best news ever. She was calling me from her cell phone. Thanks heavens. She got her credits back and now all is well in Cell Phone Land.

I wonder what the next life-or-death Mom crisis will be? Maybe I’ll actually get a day or two without any breathless phone calls!
