Cold, grey and blustery best describes this morning. Makes it hard to get moving, but get moving I must if I hope to have any time to sit at the computer and babble about all the things I have been wanting to babble about. I hate this time of year. Colder weather, one family crisis after another, year-end budget woes, and impending holidays does not a happy Orb make. There seem to be plenty of hours in the days, but there doesn’t seem to be enough energy. By the time I have dealt with the daily line-up of things that must be done and surprise things that end up needing to be done, I have just enough wakefulness to watch one or two TV shows, and then I am comatose. After a while, the days just blur together into one long procession of aggravation.
One of the things I should do today is go vote. There are some 16 amendments to the constitution on the ballot this time. Texas has the most screwed up constitution ever, and it never gets better, no matter how many amendments are added. I don’t feel terribly strongly about any of the proposals, because they all seem somewhat stupid … like things that really ought not be in the constitution of the state to start with … but I guess if I find myself near my polling location with some time to spare, I’ll go vote. If not, oh well. I’ll feel bad about not voting, but I am finding myself increasingly apathetic about it all.

Well, now that an hour of my morning has been spent dealing with the first family crisis of the day, I am off to get groceries … so I can get home and finish dealing with the first family crisis of the day. At least my head isn’t throbbing (yet).
