Career Meme

I couldn’t resist doing this one.

1. Go to Career Cruising
2. Put in Username: nycareers and Password: landmark
3. Take their “Career Matchmaker” questions.
4. Post the top ten results

I’m posting all 40 results. Not a one of them is at all surprising. In fact, many of them are SO not surprising, I am highlighting in bold the ones I have already called “job” at some point in my life or am otherwise actively doing or have done (but not necessarily gotten paid for doing).

And now we see why I have ended up being a starving artist/writer/housewife. It’s not likely I will ever be able to go back to school for a law degree (which I would love to do), and I have already done or dabbled in all the others … and just try getting a real, paying job in any of those fields. Yeah, not so easy. LOTS of competition (and I suck at selling myself). I guess, in the end, this is telling me that even though I don’t have an income to count on (I still do odd artsy/craftsy/writing jobs here and there), I am actually doing exactly what I am “qualified” to do.

Just wish being an artist/writer/housewife with a silly sense of humor paid better!
