Oh yeah, baby! We got some rising action with this loaf!!! Even with a plate of water in the oven and me opening the door and spraying water in to humidify the air … to keep it from blowing out on one side or the other … it still got somewhat misshapen. Not that I really care, because this is going to be the very best bread ever. Just look at it!

I’m thinking we are going to have tuna salad sandwiches for dinner tonight, even though Lin will squawk to high heaven about it. I’ll just have to make it really GOOD tuna salad to go with the really GOOD bread.
And wouldn’t you know it, one of my friends called to invite me out for lunchtime ‘ritas and I have been awake for far too long and couldn’t possibly go anywhere and drink anything. Gah! :(
With all that said, and the bread done, I am now going to go crawl into bed and sleep until I wake up … or until it’s time to start making dinner, whichever comes first.
Orb that’s Bread Perfection! Leave it to you and you get there on your own. :thumb:
Yup, not feeling so much like I need to take a class anymore. Now I know what the dough should feel like, how much to knead it and the best place in my house to let it rise (in the oven — I turn it on for just a minute to warm up the oven stone a bit). And the mixer works so much better for me than the food processor. Little more work for my wimpy arms, but the bread hooks do a wonder for working up the gluten. I think, by gosh, I have it!
Next, I am going to go crazy with it. :chef:
