More Suckage

Lin’s boss decided they would take the day off and go to the lake. Well, yippee, cool for Lin, huh? Not that I would have wanted to go sit in a speed boat with a bunch of guys, wake-boarding and skiing, on an overcast and hot day, but if I am not enjoying life, my spouse could at least pretend not to be enjoying life too. At the very least, he could have left me with transportation. Yes, he took the truck, so not only was I on an enforced, unexpected vacation from regular duty, I was also stuck at the house.

Since I couldn’t go anywhere, and due to the non-stop raining all day, I went to bed after I ate an early lunch. The sleep was good.

Of course now I have things I need to do, like straighten out the mess that is the laundry room and get the trash bin out to the curb. I suppose I could have and should have done that earlier in the day, but I didn’t want to do it, and so I didn’t. I still have to do it, but I will damn well put it off as long as possible. Why? I believe that when someone’s stupidity causes a situation that affects others, they should be responsible for at least helping to rectify the situation. This doesn’t seem to be the way it works in real life though, so at some point tonight, I will be straightening out the mess in the laundry room.

I’m still not talking about any of this publicly, but there may be a filtered post at some point, because I do feel like ranting a bit (more) about it. Tomorrow, hopefully earlier rather than later, life at Casa de Orb will return to something resembling normal. I really need to get up off my butt and deal with the trash situation. Then maybe I can babble some more. After all, I did sleep most of the day. It’s way too early for me to go back to bed. Might as well get the chores done so I can enjoy the rest of my awake time.
