The bread turned out OK. I tried a new basic white bread recipe. This one used sugar, oil, salt, and had the dry yeast being mixed with the flour before adding the water. The dough felt wrong right from the get-go, and even though it was the same amounts of flour and water, the dough lump was way smaller, which was very weird. Since it was a cool and rainy day, I had to warm up the oven to get it to rise, and that took forever. It did rise though. My loaf pan was just too large for such a small lump of dough, so I made a round free-form loaf out of it. I also baked it at a lower temperature and on the oven stone.
The crust is chewy, the loaf is light, it tastes fine. All-in-all, it’s a perfectly good loaf of bread, but I’m just not happy with it. It did make a good sandwich though. :)

I made the cobbler, but I wasn’t inspired to eat any yet. I also didn’t make the meatloaf stuffed crepes for dinner. I just didn’t feel like cooking at all, thus we had sandwiches.
I’m tired and in a mood. I think I’ll just go to bed now. I have to, have to, have to go to the bank tomorrow. I don’t want to, but it must be done, so I will go do it … grumbling the whole way.
Today just really sort of sucked, but I can’t put my finger on exactly why. I’m going to blame it on the weather (and my continual sneezing).
At least tomorrow is pizza night. Pizza night is always good.
