The heat index is already 85 degrees. There are dark clouds in the sky and storms moving across Texas. Today is likely not going to be a great day. More hot, sticky, and wet … and not in a fun way either. Though the weather radar doesn’t show we are getting any rain here right now, we are, in fact, getting some very heavy rain here right now. Sounds like there may be some pea-sized hail mixed in with it too.

I’ve been working on some things on my web site server, background fussing that shouldn’t cause any problems on the site. If you happen to encounter a problem, let me know. I’m trying to fix a problem I have been having with the administration area, but if fixing it is going to screw up the site itself, I’ll just have to live with the annoyance.

Something happened with my back yesterday, but I don’t know what. I was just standing at the sink washing some veggies when a spot in the middle of my back went “snick” and then it started hurting. I can’t think of anything I may have done to cause it, but I suspect it may have something to do with Ronin being overly interested in playing “fetch” all day long. Yes, Ronin, a cat, loves to play fetch … just like a dog. He’s such a little weirdo.

Nothing much in my plan for the day. The only things I need to do household-wise is get the trash ready to take out tonight, roast a slab of pork for dinner, and maybe make a peach cobbler for dessert. Maybe I’ll finally get to play some Final Fantasy XII today and get a nap too. I have not been getting any naps lately. It’s beginning to make me cranky.

Provided the storms on the way don’t get too exciting, looks like it’s going to be a slow, lazy, and somewhat boring day at Casa de Orb today. I need one of those every once in a while, so I am not going to complain.
