I’ve backed up the databases. I tested my plugins and layout in my sandbox. I even went so far as to download the entire folder containing Just Orb. I believe I am ready to press the Fantastico button that suggests I upgrade to WordPress 2.2. I’ve been using it over at my dead tree web site, and there are a lot of things to like about it, so I am finally ready to make the move to the new version.

There’s just one problem. Isn’t there always just one problem?

The plugin that crossposts my blog entries to my Livejournal account causes a “fatal error” with the new version of WordPress. I’m going to poke around and see if anyone has fixed it yet or knows a work-around that doesn’t involve me cutting and pasting between web sites, but if I can’t post at both places with the press of a single button (OK, maybe two buttons), then I’m not upgrading yet.

Anyway, take this as your warning that I may (or may not) be messing around with my web site today. :)
