Tasty and Organic!

I don’t do to much to roasts when I first cook them. Just a little broth and salt and pepper with a bit of maple syrup. That way I can flavor the meat differently in other meals over the next few days. Even so, this roast and veggies was very tasty! Everything on the plate, except for the cheese and vinegar & oil dressing are organic and locally grown. Wheee!

The best part is that tomorrow I will cut up what’s left for sandwiches, stew and maybe even chili, and not really have to do any heavy cooking the next few days. That’s a good thing, because I need to make bread tomorrow, and I want to make another angel food cake too. As I passed by a display of peaches at HEB, I couldn’t resist getting some. They just smelled so good and ripe. We split one for dinner tonight, and they are going to be oh so good on angel food cake. ![]()
Friday is pizza day! Yes, I am already looking forward to Friday. Homemade pizza will have been the closest thing to junk food I will get all week. That’s not really fair, because Lin is still eating junk food for lunch at work. I’m the only one who seems to be suffering for want of nasty fast food. I think Saturday, I may need a meal out at Sonic for burgers and fries. ![]()
Oh, and those 32 cookies I made on Friday? It’s a good thing I ate four spoonfuls before they were baked, because I only got one of those 32 cookies. My husband is a pig. Oink! Oink!
I’d like to watch our usual late evening shows that are recording right now, but my brain is all fuzzy, and I think I’m going to go curl up with the kitties and go to sleep. I still haven’t gotten to play my video game. Lin keeps walking in the door right as I turn on the Playstation. Tomorrow, nothing but baking and game playing!
