Another hour of my day wasted talking to my mom. I called her. Some things you just have to head off at the pass, you know? Mostly we talked about her selling her house and moving to Dripping Springs, something I have been strongly advocating for the last few months. Then I looked at the houses currently available in that area. It’s subdivision hell … pricey subdivision hell, no less. Maybe Georgetown. The housing market hasn’t gone too insane there yet. :D
There are some great houses right in my neighborhood, but do I really want my mom living right in my neighborhood? I think she’d hate it anyway. Too inner city, if you know what I mean. Some of you will know what I mean.
Ugh. I really don’t want to go through the whole house hunting and buying thing again, but Mom needs to be closer to us, and soon she will be the only human living on her street … the rest already having been taken over by the museum. That’s just not going to be good. She’s getting a little too old not to have someone around in case of emergencies, even if it is other old people.
Well, enough thinking about that for a while. The whole idea of buying a house and moving my mother into it is threatening to give me a headache of massive proportions.
I think I’ll go plan dinner.
As you can see, sitting at the computer and totally goofing off is the plan that won today. Sometimes it’s good to just goof off and not wax your floors.
