AARGH! I decided to sit down and record The Lake House to DVD, which means watching it again due to having to watch whatever I am recording. The stupid, stupid DVR didn’t record the whole thing!!! I know we didn’t switch away from the channel while we were watching the movie, which will mean you only get what you have watched since the last time you tuned to that channel if you later hit the record button, but we did pause it at one point for a bathroom break. Apparently hitting the record button at the end of a show will only grab the whole show of you haven’t done ANYTHING AT ALL while watching it. I knew it did that when you switch channels, but not that it would do that if you paused the movie at any point. Well, now I know.

It doesn’t come on again until next week. I think I’ll borrow Mom’s DVD this weekend and try copying it. I haven’t tried that yet anyway. Or maybe the urge to see the movie will force me to go buy my own copy at Target. I might like to have all the extras anyway … there might be some more information about that house they built for the movie.

Then, while I was looking through the entire TV guide trying to find when the movie played again so I could record it, I missed seeing HD Traveler: New Zealand. The web site says it’s not going to be on again this month. Gah! Not having a good TV viewing day.

I guess I’ll read some news and then go clean the kitchen and be grumpy. :(
