Moving between the computer and the kitchen, I just ran into the sharp and pointy corner of my drafting table with the full force of a moving Orb. There was no last minute observation that I was about to run into a large, heavy object. I wasn’t slowing down or trying to avoid it. No … I was completely unaware of the existence of the sharp and pointy corner of the drafting table lying directly in my selected path of movement. The same corner that has been in that exact same spot for what? A year maybe? I ran right into it. Smack. Right in the thigh.
At least Lin has finally learned that it’s polite to inquire about my well-being when he hears a shriek followed by a brief moment of total silence and then loud and breathless hysterical laughter. While I realize it must be tedious to constantly be inquiring about someone’s well-being after bangs, crashes, shrieks, hysterical laughter, and choking sounds … life with a klutz in a nutshell … but it’s only nice to ask, right? Someday I may manage to find a way to kill myself with the drafting table. You never know. I suppose it’s possible.
All I can say about tonight’s injury? Oh … that’s going to leave a bruise. :|
Yes, I laugh when I am in pain. Laugher is my response to most of the things life throws at me.
“TIM: Follow. But! Follow only if ye be men of valor, for the entrance to this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel that no man yet has fought with it and lived! Bones of full fifty men lie strewn about its lair. So, brave knights, if you do doubt your courage or your strength, come no further, for” … the drafting table awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy corners.
It’s only a flesh wound!!!
