Grumble

Didn’t plan on having a completely lazy weekend, but I also didn’t plan on having a migraine. Came from out of nowhere and smacked me in the head yesterday afternoon. It was bad enough last night, but today I’ve got the nausea and flashing lights before my eyes, and even my computer monitor on dim is killing me. I’m thinking of just going to bed. I’m not good for much else today.

Of course, having an hour long conversation with my mother about her computer/printer woes didn’t help any. I ask you, if you have a computer that seriously needs to be replaced and a broken printer as well, what do you spend hundreds of dollars on first? I would get a new computer first, since a brand new printer isn’t going to do you a lot of good if your computer fails (and you get can get photos or anything else printed elsewhere if you have to). In my mother’s world, buying a multi-hundred dollar printer is the wiser choice.

And she continues to install things and screw up her computer even worse. I told her … email and internet surfing and working with photos in Paintshop Pro. That’s about all her computer is still good for. She won’t listen. I guess when we go to see her to celebrate my birthday, I will get to spend the day reinstalling Windows yet again so she can wreck havoc on it and screw it all up again in two weeks. Happy birthday to me.

I’m going to go be grumpy in the bedroom. No sense sitting here making my head hurt worse just to complain. Here’s hoping this migraine fades by tomorrow. It sucks when your head feels like it’s on fire and being squashed by a pneumatic press at the same time.
