I’m sitting here freezing. I’m mostly dressed for tonight, but I don’t want to put my over-shirt on until we get ready to go, so right now I’m sitting here in jeans and a little summer tank top. Brrrr. I haven’t really decided what I am going to wear over it yet. Actually, that’s sort of a lie. I want to wear my silly Globe Theater print blouse, because I like it and it looks good on me, but Lin despises it with a passion unknown on this planet. Granted, the blouse is probably older than I am, but it’s just standard blouse, so it’s not like it’s unstylish or anything. I think it’s just that he hates prints of any sort, and this one is a pretty busy print. If he makes too much of a stink about it, I guess I’ll put on my fuzzy purple sweater, which I also love and looks good on me. I went through all my clothing, and those two options were just the best available for the weather. It’s very chilly right now, and it’s not going to be getting any warmer.

The real reason I want to wear the blouse is it gives me an excuse to wear my brown scarf, so people can say “hey, nice scarf” and I can say “hey, I made it myself!” Silly, I know, but I like showing off the things I make. :D

My hair is looking as good as it possibly can with the humidity we have today. I managed to get it all straightened out and mostly non-frizzy. My skin is even being well-behaved today. My hands still look like hell. Like I said, nothing to be done about it. I have craftswoman hands.

I’m pretty excited to be going out to a social event tonight, and amazingly not too worried about how I look. That must mean I think I look pretty human. Can’t help the getting older thing either, but it’s not like time will have stopped for them. I’m sure they have gotten older looking too. :lol:

I’m just hoping we don’t stay too long. I’m thinking two or so hours will be about enough. Or maybe I’ll end up having so much fun I want to stay all night. Don’t hold your breath on that. I rarely want to stay at a club from 6 pm until closing anymore.

I’m going to go slather some more moisturizer on my face and hands, brush my hair for about the 100th time, and sit and wait for Lin to get here. Then, we are off! The camera batteries are charging right now, so I’ll try to get some photos … and I’ll make sure Lin gets at least one or two of me too. ;)
