Yeah, I think photography magazines dealing with nudity would count. My dad had some of those tucked away from prying child eyes too. Really fascinating, and likely one of the reasons I enjoy photography the nude human form today. In fact, all my dad's stuff was the really arty, soft focus stuff without even a whole lot of blatant genitalia flashing around ... and Playboy. I still have it all, which is probably kind of weird, but porn from the 50's-70's wasn't at all like porn today.

And wow, you had a 2400 baud? I was stuck with 300, and gosh did it suck.

Oh yeah! National Geographic! I actually forgot about that! We had a subscription the whole time I was a kid, and I know there were naked boobies in there, but for some reason, I don't remember ever seeing them. Hmmm ... I wonder if my mom didn't let me see all the issues. :D

I remember being fascinated with what I had found, not from a sexual stand-point, I mean I was only about 8 or 9 years old, but from the point of view of having only seen one adult female naked at that point, my mom, and how interesting it was to see different people naked. Though the first time I found one with couples in it and saw a naked guy for the first time, it was an eye opener. Pretty much ushered in the age of asking about sex and babies, because it did confuse me a little. I don't know how I would have reacted had my dad's collection been more hard core, but I don't think it would have scarred me for life or anything, but I am sort of thankful he was into the arty stuff. It was pretty (and not especially shocking)! :)

And of course there was always the National Geographic topless natives. One year while hunting for Christmas presents around the house, I discovered my father's ... um ... magazine collection. A very Merry Christmas for a teen!!

Do photography magazines count? The kind with detailed explanations of how they illuminated that full-frontal nude photo?

Actually I think the most was in the foreign-language magazine selection of the school I started attending at around age 12. I even remember some of the french text of the account by a prostitute about a client who was getting off by moving the temperature dial while she was in the shower.

The photos were from an establishment trying to provide a more complete experience than mere prostitution, I never managed to translate what the hell that meant.

I doubt I could have found much of that quality with my 2400 baud modem.
