No Ranting After All

OK, so there wasn’t any insane ranting today. There COULD have been, but instead … I knitted a basket to be felted. Yes, there were things today I would have very much liked to rant about, but I decided to just not do it and have a decent day. I cleaned a little. I cooked a little. I watched a little Star Trek. I knitted a LOT.

So rather than ranting, how about I share a photo of my Knitting Assistants taking a nap among the tools of the trade. :)

Knitting Assistants

  1. OMG, that is SO freakin’ cute! I can’t believe they fell asleep on the yarn like that. Mine are more interested in the knitting needles themselves for some reason. If I’m knitting, they want to bat at them. If I lay them down, then they’ll pick them up in their mouth and take off with them. If they are attached to my knitting, then they don’t get as far, but they have been known to pull the needle out and cause me to drop some stitches. Myoki has mastered the art of looking absolutely adorable and giving me her cutest squeakiest meow right after she’s been into something she’s not supposed to be into.

  2. Five minutes before they passed out on my yarn, they were being pains in my butt while I was knitting. Ronin can’t resist grabbing at the yarn as it makes its way to the needles. It wiggles. He pounces. Myu loves the skeins. She jumps on them, sucks on them, and rolls around with them. Both of them will run off with something on needles if I leave it alone too long, and yes, they LOVE to try to pull the needles out … and boy do they enjoy trying to chew on the circular cables. :D

Myu has always known the power of the adorable little mew to deflect any punishment, but now Ronin has learned that the big-eyed pathetic mew can sometimes make me forget he just shredded something he shouldn’t have. And because he’s just not a vocal cat at all, his little squeaks are TOO cute.

I am owned by my cats. :D
