Habit
December 30th, 2006 - 4:31 pm
The weather is nasty and grey, Lin has a cold/flu/something, and our furry babies are working my nerves. The only good thing about today is that I slept most of it away.
I’m not feeling so great either. Not sick, just apathetic about everything. I can’t even work up a good rant about Saddam’s execution, which I would like to rant about. Reasons I would like to rant about that? I oppose the death penalty, not seeing it as a form of justice, and I’d have liked to have seen the conclusion of his trial for gassing the Kurds during the Iran-Iraq War. But like I said, I can’t even get into rant mode. Oh, I can feel it bubbling inside, but once the words get formed and my fingers start moving, I lose interest in bothering with it. Maybe tomorrow.
I’d like to DO something today, like make soap or paint, but even with all the sleeping I have been doing the last few days, I just don’t have any energy at all. Maybe I’m sick too and just don’t know it yet.
Meh. Don’t even know why I am posting at all. Habit, I guess.

There are many careless forms of the death penalty that I oppose.
Such as the drunk drivers that kill innocent people indiscreetly.
The criminal/police factions that make use of unnecessary deadly force in their chosen fields just because they can.
The molesters who in order to cover their crimes of rape/mayhem kill women and children.
Soldiers being misled into thinking it is a patriotic duty to die in acts of war because their countries leaders are just too immature and lack the intelligence to work out indifferences without the need of war.
The powers that be who commit genocide/atrocities and insanely thinking that it is all in the name of humanity just to justify their own mentality/self need.
The so called incurable diseases that ravage the young and old alike when all the while most could be cured if not for drug companies needing to make a buck.
In the case of child molesters. Should one ever bring harm of any kind to one of my children/grandchildren I would give them a justice of my own without remorse.
In the case of soldiers being misled I too have been a victim of the cause and I can say that the effects do not end with a discharge from service.
As for the powers that be /criminal/police factions when they over step the limitations of humanity then justice should be served one way or the other.
Throughout history the death penalty has not ebbed the tide of murder and mayhem in the least and in just as many cases innocent people have died at the hands of over zealous good intentions in the name of good and evil.
It seems that we are subjected to all of the above from the habit of others and our own intolerances .
