Back from the vet! They weren’t nearly as happy about being there this time. Poor things. I guess they remember what happened last time with all that poking and prodding and shots. Well, just wait until next time! :D

Ronin weighed in at 5 3/4 pounds. He gained an entire pound in three weeks. I told you he was getting big! Myu only gained a half a pound and now weighs 4 3/4 pounds total. They both continue to be fit and healthy. Today they got their second combo-shot and their rabies shot … and plans were made to have them de-sexed at the next visit in three weeks. We are getting them both done at the same time, and they’ll have to stay overnight. None of us are going to like the overnight visit, but it’s for the best really. That way if anything goes wrong, we won’t be trying to rush to the super-expensive emergency vet clinic to get it fixed.

Even though they were both really nervous this time, they behaved admirably. Only one hiss from Myu and a few evil glares from Ronin … when he wasn’t hiding his head under Lin’s arm. Yes, Ronin seems to believe that if he can’t see something, it can’t see him, even when the only thing hidden is his head. :lol:

So the trip went well and wasn’t too expensive … and I imagine they’ll be feeling a little under-the-weather for the rest of the day due to the shots. That’ll be a nice break from them being holy terrors like they were yesterday! Things went better with the vet this time too. Maybe she was just having a bad day last time.

Only one more visit and the good doctor says she won’t need to see them again for a year! Almost done with all this kitten stuff! Yippee!
