Civ IV

Last night I downloaded and played the demo for Civilization IV. I’ve been wanting to play Civilization since the first one came out, but I never had a computer that could handle it, and you know I’m more of a console gamer anyway. Well, after doing the tutorial (hours of joy) and then playing the 100 turn demo (just not long enough), all I can say is the whining about me wanting this game is about to reach an all-time cresendo. I’ve been downloading a lot of game demos the last few months, and so far, this is the only one that left me wanting MORE, MORE, MORE!
Oh yeah, this is a game I could definitely get addicted to in a very bad way … even worse than any addiction I used to have for The Sims (and associated Sims games).
Lin wants to go buy the components for his computer this weekend, because he really needs a new computer now. I have the feeling I’ll be madly fondling the Civ IV box and begging like a five year old on cotton candy until he agrees to get it for me just to shut me up. Though I’d really wanted to get a new Harvest Moon game for my PS2, I think buying a game for my super-incredible and wonderful iMac RIGHT NOW may be the option I shoot for.
Let the whining begin! ![]()
Question: Anyone who has played this multiplayer … if Lin and I both have the game, can we play it on our home network? I’d imagine so, but I couldn’t find anything online that said so directly one way or the other.

A friend of mine bought me World of Warcraft–with the warning it is very addictive.
