My perfume oils came today! Three huge bottles (2 oz each). I’m thrilled. The Dirt and Fresh Cut Grass smell fabulous, and I’m wearing them right now. I love it. I’m not too sure about the Tomato. It smells fine, but it doesn’t smell so much like a tomato to me. It might be because it’s so concentrated and when it’s diluted a little it will smell more like a tomato. I don’t dislike it, but it’s not exactly what I was hoping for. Still smells nice though, and it might smell good mixed with the others. We’ll just have to see what I can do with it.

Lin isn’t as thrilled with my new scents. When I let him sniff the bottles, he said something about it being like “making love to a garden.” Personally, I see that as a plus, but I think he prefers floral scents on women. Too bad he fell in love with an “earthy” girl, huh?

I’ve added the things I need to make some body spray to the grocery list, because that’s my preferred method of getting scent on my body … dousing myself with a light spray. Then I can always add a dab or two of pure oil if I want to be really “smelly.” And of course, I’ll probably be making a few batches of soap with the new scents too. I’m thinking Dirt with Green Tea and a smidgen of Orange would make for a really fresh smelling soap. Maybe once I get the house in order tomorrow I’ll whip up a small batch to see if what I think will smell good actually will.

I’m so excited. I love getting new perfume oils to play with. I haven’t been able to add to my collection for quite a while, because that’s really a luxury item if anything is. Now I’ve got a few more to play with, and maybe in a month or so I can add a few more … like maybe some sort of floral to make Lin happy. Though the next one of my list of wants is Clean Laundry. Sun dried laundry is another one of my favorite scents. What can I say? I’m just not that into wearing florals!
