Waking up and crawling into the kitchen in the morning to make Lin’s coffee is almost a pleasure now there are kittens in the house. Due to them still not being allowed in the bedroom, they get all excited when they hear me come out and run to meet me all purring, mewing, and happy … stretching with sleepy kitty eyes and begging for attention. It’s so sweet.
My mission today is to order re-foaming kits for the speakers in the living room. We decided to go that route rather than just buy all new speakers. Those old Kenwoods rock, and with just a little work, they will sound fantastic again, and it’ll be a whole lot cheaper than buying new speakers.
My other mission for the day is to work on what Lin and I are going to “go as” for Halloween. Kev isn’t having a party at his place for the first time in a million years, which means we can go anywhere we like for once. Personally, seeing as Halloween is when Lin and I celebrate our anniversary, I’d rather get dressed up in normal fancy clothes and have an actual anniversary celebration for just one time out of the last 15 years, but Lin has already started the “what are we going to go as” conversation, so I guess it’ll be another year of costumes.
Current plan is for both of us to go as V … you know, from V for Vendetta. We’d thought about going as V and Evey, but I refuse to shave my head, so that idea didn’t get too far off the ground. Actually, the two of us both going as V sounds like a cute idea. Maybe we should get some friends together and get them to all dress like V. Then we could march on the Capitol building at midnight or something. Wouldn’t that be fun?
Then there’s my other main mission for the week … getting the house back into some sort of order. It’s getting there, and I’m not killing myself doing it either. Seeing as it started from a pretty good place, it’s not been so bad to get it back to that point. I’m just disgruntled that I’d intended to have gotten more done by this week rather than having to go back and redo what I’d done before. Oh well, can’t very well keep yourself from getting sick and not being able to do the housework. No sense whining about it.
Lin’s alarm is going off, so it’s time for me to move into the next stage of morning activity … getting him out of bed. Laters! :D
