Look at that! It’s my kitchen table, and it’s not covered in craft supplies, tools, and other assorted trash and junk! It’s so incredible, I had to show you!

This new way of looking at cleaning and de-cluttering is working, and now that one of the most bothersome clutter-zones is de-cluttered, I really feel like I am making huge progress. I spent my 15 minutes on this week’s Hotzone (living room) this morning, then want through the house and threw away 27 things (more than that actually), and this afternoon I decided to do something about the table. It took longer than 15 minutes, because half of the stuff on the table was craft supplies, and I took the time to find a box and organize them before putting them away. So really, I did two tasks. I got the table cleared, and I got my artist trading card stuff organized into one box I can pull out when I want to work on them. Go me!

Also, I am going to do the dinner dishes tonight before going to bed, no matter how tired I am or how good the stuff on TV is. There won’t be many dishes, because I have gotten all caught up on them as well. It won’t take any time at all. Then tomorrow when I get up and head to the kitchen, I will walk into a room that is really starting to look great. Still a ways to go before it actually looks great, but it’s looking far better than it did just yesterday.

I am incredibly proud of myself for sticking with this and making progress. I’m going to go sit at my kitchen table and watch my water fountain. 8)
