I misread the yarn requirements for that wrap. I am two skeins short of the fuzzy stuff … the very yarn that was on sale last week for 99 cents and now isn’t on sale and costs $2.50. Not wanting to spend any more money on it, I took it apart and started over with just one strand of the fuzzy stuff with the Homespun. It won’t be as fuzzy or as thick, but then, I do live in Texas, so that might be a good thing. I’m going to stop where I am now, at the half-way point, and mull it over a bit. I might decide to take it apart again, buy more yarn and start all over. The good thing about that? Those enormous needles do make short work of it. I feel a little like a Lilliputian when I am knitting with them, but they are FUN … and they don’t make my hands hurt either.
Anyway, here’s what the needles look like. I tried to take a photo of the knitting, but since the yarn is sort of shiny and the colors rather muted, the flash just makes it look grey. I’ll take one in the morning when the sun comes up. Heck, by morning, I might have the whole things finished! :D
