Swallow?

I am not going to bother finding a link to the news story on line, but you have all heard about the woman who either a) had a cell phone shoved down her thoat by her angry boyfriend or b) swallowed the phone herself in a drunken fit … haven’t you? If not, go to Google News and do a search. I have no doubt “cell phone” and “swallow” will bring up any number of hits.
I don’t really care which of the two possible explanations turns out to be true. All I want to know is how exactly, whether shoved or not, one swallows a cell phone. I know they make them small not, but not THAT small!
I can’t even think of anything else to say. The mind … it’s boggled almost to the point of no return. I sit here capable of only sputtering … how the hell?!

I could see those little dealies that hook onto your ear being swallowed I guess. Maybe this is just some new form of phone sex?
This was apparently an actual phone. I wish someone would say what model phone it was. When Lin and I were looking for new cell phones, we looked at all the ones available, and even the tiniest ones out there don’t look they could be swallowed by a normal human being. I’m really just not picturing how it happened. I mean, it’s a hard piece of plastic and metal. It just seems totally impossible.
