iPhoto Gripe

Now that I have my very own camera that will only have photos on it that I have taken, I am starting to use iPhoto to organize them. Once I get used to it (and make sure I keyword stuff as soon as I import it), it’s going to work great for me. I only have one gripe. Don’t I always have at least one gripe?

When you modify a photo in iPhoto, turn it or whatever, it creates a copy of the image in the Modified folder, and that’s the only one you see within iPhoto. Unfortunately, it also keeps the original in the Originals folder. That photo is doing nothing but taking up space, and I haven’t found any way to delete them from within iPhoto. They are just sitting there wasting my hard drive real estate. At the rate I take photos, it’s going to take up too much space at some point to have un-used, un-needed photos laying about.

I’m going to try to find some easy way to go through them and clear them out. Surely someone else has had this same complaint and found/created a solution. I can’t believe everyone is keeping two copies of all their photos.
