I was bouncing around on the internet, reading posts here and there on message boards where born again Christians gather, and after reading the millionth post about the anti-Christ being the Mahdi, or being Muslim, or being Middle Eastern, and how it would have to be someone the Jews would accept (so he has to have some Jewish heritage) … I had a revelation:
The lot of them that are speculating about who or what the anti-Christ might be continually decide it’s going to be someone they themselves would NOT even consider believing or following … people they already have prejudices again (Muslims and Rome mostly). What I believe they are missing while reading through the Bible over and over again trying to pull out more clues is the biggest hint of all. I am entirely too lazy to look up Bible passages to make my point, but as I recall (perhaps incorrectly), the anti-Christ (when he shows up) is going to look and act like a good guy, and people are going to like him. It’s interesting that these people haven’t considered they may also be fooled. How perfect they must be, how impossible it would be for them to not see the anti-Christ in their midst. Of course THEY would never fall for anyone who looked like a good guy and does good things. Such HUBRIS, huh?
I promise to get off this kick soon. It’s just that being surrounded by churches that believe this stuff, they are knocking on the door and being annoying. I tried ignoring the knocking. I tried just closing the door in their face. I tried being polite and telling them to not bother with my soul. None of those options have worked, so I must study the enemy in order to debate with them. It’s totally useless, of course, but it brings me some sort of twisted pleasure. :lol:
It’s pretty terrible and scary that there are people in this country that believe this crap! Basically this author is getting Christians to embrace a very Muslim worldview on things as if it where Chritian. It sounds like perhaps Jusus has morphed into Mohammed, who was that bloody during his lifetime! Are people so blind they cannot see?
I’ve said for a while that I’d just sit and laugh my *ss off if the Anti-Christ turned out to be the Shrub. And it wouldn’t surprise me in the least it were truly he.
Yep, that would be about right….it’s just abnormal how christians think that everyone who is not christian will most likely fall into the hands of the anti-christ when they themselves are creating that hole too.
They’re just pathetic people who want to belong to something. Because of low intellect and bad parenting, they will tolerate a lot of nonsense if it leads to anything resembling stability and group acceptance. This society generates more and more of them than us, and until people are understood to be a national resource, rather than low-value worker drones and consumers, things are just going to get worse.
To put present society’s values into perspective, it is important to remember that the Patriots, while fighting the English oligarchs and debating the perfect form of governance, were reading and quoting from Edward Gibbon’s masterpiece, not the Bible. Kind of sobering when you think about it, and probably why high school and college kids aren’t encouraged to read it anymore.

Ack. I was just griping about the Left Behind game a week or so ago. I didn’t look into it much more, so thanks for that article. I’m going to have to go an another rant-fest about it. I mean, really … I didn’t know the evil army were UN forces!!! WTF?! And on their web site they refute the controversy by saying “Because our game is a ‘strategy’ game, never does a player click a key or press a button to actuate a first-person violent act. Instead, control is managed by the player in much the same way as an animated chess game would be when pieces fight for position, except that in ‘real-time’ strategy games, many pieces fight for position at the same time.” So therefore, it isn’t violent. Well that’s exactly the kind of thinking that some world leaders have … I’m not responsible for people dying, because I’m just calling the shots not out there with a gun myself. AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH! Violence by proxy is still violence.

That theory is correct. Almost. Jesus was the christ and he died for all of your sins. His soul went to hell for 2000 years, but it has now returned. And the soul of christ is in a new body. and that body is the body of the anti-christ.
