I hope everyone has a happy and safe Independence Day!

Lin and I don’t have anything planned for the day. Anywhere to go or anything fun to do is just going to be crazy insane with people and traffic, and the combination of a 60% chance of rain and the hot and humid weather makes being outside sound less than fun.

We’ll probably do what we always do … lay around the house debating what to go do until it’s too late to do anything, go buy some BBQ at Bill Miller’s, and then watch our neighbors put on an illegal but fantastic fireworks display. Oh, and we’ll probably have a few beers too. Exciting, yes?

Lin went to bed early tonight. He spent all day out in the sun (at his boss’ house having fun from what I gather), and he came home sunburned and half asleep. I spent the day doing just about nothing … just dishes and making dinner. It’s amazing how time flies when you aren’t doing anything at all. I’m going to go see if there’s some stupid movie on TV that I have to watch for the 100th time, and if not, I guess I’ll go crawl into bed too. Yeah, it’s also amazing how tired you get when you aren’t doing anything at all.
