If like me, you are using WordPress 2 and have been aggravated by the new way the Press It bookmarklet works, suffer no more.Thanks to Michael, by WordPress life is just a little better now … my Press It bookmarklet now opens in a new popup window instead of removing me from the page I was trying to post about and taking me to the admin area. Aaahhhhh … it feels so good.

You can find the code for the bookmarklet here. All you have to do is change the “example.com” part to the path to your own installation of WordPress and then create a new bookmark (putting the code where the url usually goes). The other change I made to it was to adjust the size of the pop up to 640×480 so the post screen fit better and was slightly more usable. You could even make it larger if you wanted to.

I am soooo thankful. The lack of my old style post pop up was really getting me down. :)
