   They are Blue Dutch Irises. I have to say they are the easiest thing on the planet to grow and have bloom on time and all spring (well into summer in milder locations). I have not only ignored these plants, I would say they have been abused … and yet they come up every year at the end of February and bloom like crazy. I think I’m going to fill the whole front flowerbed with them (they come in several colors, I think).

   Those are some really pretty flowers. I love the close up one. What a pretty color! One of these days when I have a spot of dirt to plant something in, I think I’ll try these since you say you can ignore them and they grow and bloom just fine.
