It’s turtles … all the way down.
Too much time was spent today sulking in my own head, and so, I am peevish.
Yeah … that’s all. Over and out.

I have a question … or two. I am working on an art project for a juried show, and while I have some ideas of my own, I wanted to get some outside ideas to kick my creativity in the butt a little.
When you think about the death penalty, are you pro or con? What images, feelings and thoughts come to mind when you consider the topic?
Be as brief, wordy or cryptic as you want. I’m just trying to engage my brain on the subject a little more and maybe see it from other people’s points of view. I tried brainstorming with Lin, but after all these years of living together, on some subjects, it’s very much like talking to myself … no new data or points of view, in other words. ![]()
I added two pages to the site today, but they aren’t linked anywhere yet. Still working on some of the back end stuff … like where to put everything. ![]()
Paint Shop Pro Sketch Tutorial
Now Google won’t have a problem finding them, and hopefully I won’t get any emails asking what happened to them. ![]()

As I was tossing out the now dessicated flowers Lin gave me for Valentine’s Day, I started thinking about high school. Every year one of the clubs on campus, the Future Teachers of America, sold carnations to be delivered at school on Valentine’s Day. My geeky friends and I dreaded the whole build-up to that event. We were a group of really nerdy chicks … too fat, too thin, too acne-prone, too smart, too socially inept, too whatever to be “popular” or to even have a boyfriend. The whole carnation situation seemed set to bring that home in a painful way.

When Jeanette Yarborough decided to give her husband a gift for their seventeenth wedding anniversary she wanted it to be special. Really special. She decided that conventional treats such as Mediterranean cruises, gold watches, cars, a murder-mystery weekend, or even a boob job just weren’t going to cut it. She gave him something much more personal — and painful. Her virginity.
Well, sort of. Mrs Yarborough paid $5,000 (£2,860) to a cosmetic surgeon to stitch her hymen back together so she could “lose her virginity†all over again and her husband would have that thrilling conquest at the grand age of 40.
Revirgination? Oh please. As much as I love Lin, nothing on the planet could persuade me to spend $5,000 so he could spend a second popping a long broken hymen. What will wealthy women find to waste their money on next? It’s completely ridiculous. And unless you are in some way horribly deformed in the genital region, I see no reason whatsoever to “beautify” it any further. They are quite lovely in their natural state.
Speaking of natural states … you ladies might want to try growing some hair down there as well. I’m telling you, the sex is FAR better. No chafing or ingrown hairs. ![]()

I’ve been thinking of using Joomla to power my OrbiZart web site. Joomla seems really complicated to learn, but it is so powerful and I think it will do what I want it to do (and more). I think I’ll set up a test site over a OrbiZart and start playing around with it. The last time I played around with an install of it, it sort of gave me headaches. At the time though, I was totally uninterested in learning anything new about any new software for web sites. My mood on that has changed. Moving to a new host and upgrading my web site always fires me up a little bit. ![]()
I went in search of gallery-type sites that use Joomla, and I ran across Wendy Robison’s beautiful web site which is powered by Joomla and Plogger (open source web photo gallery). Hers was the best example of a Joomla powered gallery-type site, and the photos are lovely as well. ![]()
UPDATE:
Joomla is just going to be too hard to learn. I’m sure I could learn to use it, but none of it is intuitive for me … and that’s a bad thing. I am interested in seeing what I can do with Plogger though.
